Cheers mates, great work you are doing here.

I have one question,

if im watching a DVB-S Sat Channel on a S tuner, and using PIP or Recording another C channel on a DVB-C Tuner, is this possible ? Maybe i need to wait for DUO2 to confirm this.
The boxes till now werent able to do it i think.

Thanks

If you a have USB DVB-C Tuner, it works at Vu+ Solo2.:)

As far as i know, XBMC4STB is abandoned but i may have wrong information. Personally i think that we should better stick to E2 which has proven itself over these years. We do not want new system with "sea" of bugs.

Hi looking to replace sly+ box. Is the recording functions on this box easy to use as don't want grief from the other half. Have read the user manualbut it doesn't give much detail.

Thanks

Anyone know which RemoteControl code DUO uses? Noticed plugin which allows to change it.
So i can use my Duo configured universal remote with Solo2, too lazy to program RC again :)

edit: It was 1

Recording on Vu+ is very easy, just push one button on the RCU.

Yes the solo2 reports a lower ACG than the Uno or Ultimo does on the same channel / transponder, and at the same time it reports a higher SNR.
Will this Solo2 be better then DB800? Will Solo2 find more channels on same satellite antenna & lnb`s?

Will this SOLO2 work with EMP-CENTAURI 8/1 DiSEqC p.168-w v2?
I have 7x lnb`s.

I have been a fan of DB7000 & DB800. At this moment I have DB800 with PeterPan, but look after some new stuff.

Is it easy to set in a internal hdd? Same as with DB800?

Does it work with android phones? Streame to phone?
And remote control (change channels, volum ect...)SOLO2 from Android?
And start a record from android(from any place i world) on SOLO2?

I haven't an EMP CENTAURI but I've 2 DM800 .... and Solo2 ROCKS!
About Android software.... Solo2 uses OpenWebif software against DMM WebIf: usually smartphones plugins works correctly but I cannot test it.

I have done a very quick test with the Solo2 on the tuner sensitivity against my Uno and so far can see no difference apart from 7° west with some frequencys actually reporting a 10% loss of signal on the Solo2 comapred to the Uno. Ass i say it was a very quick test and some more in depth testing needs to be done but on first test Tuners dont seem any different at all.

Another update to what was first posted on the first page review and i quote:

Yet another great thing about the Solo2 and it's massive amount of memory and superfast CPU is you can now use CrossEPG (built into Blackhole 1.7.9), and download all of the epg packages for all of your favorite providers, without compromising the speed of the image. Infact it only takes a few minutes to download every package and convert the data in 1 go

Well i decided to try this out and only ticked the Rytec providers and nothing else infact i missed 2 or 3 out that where not required, i have no idea where this quote it only takes a few minutes from as i currently sit here still waiting for it to finish after 50 minutes yes thats right 50m minutes and it is still doing its thing. before anyone says about downloading and broadband speed i have a fast fibre connection, although i am doing this to USB i will try later to the internal hard drive to see if that makes any difference.

I tested it with XEPGDB providers, OpenTv and MHW2 and have not had to wait more than about 5 minutes for all packages to download.

However with the scripts providers it took a while for me, as I think the website of Mediaset was very slow for me.

Hi Evo,

Just did a reset and tested the XEPGDB providers without 28.2° east i left that as normal with OpenTV as i find that you only get 2-3 days with the former set for that provider, anyway thats much better took in total including OpenTV from 28.2° east just over 2 and half minutes now thats more like it.

Although with the XEPGDB on other providers does not give you the full 7 day EPG not to worry some is better than none

Regards
