I got finally the TBS USB Box :)

On Turbosight official site the Linux drivers with Sources released:

Code:
http://www.tbsdtv.com/download/document/common/tbs-linux-sources_v141225.zip

I copied the dvb-usb-tbsqbox-id5980.fw file to /lib/firmware but there is your help needed :help::help:

Hello

I have not been on this forum for ages and thought I had forgotten my login but luckily not.

I wonder can anyone here check the following

Astra 28.2 East
Frequency: 11.009 V
SR 22500
8PSK
DVB-S2 Multistream

At least I understand this mux IS a multistream mux but don't know the Multistream ID. I have a PCTV 461e stick. Am I right in thinking this stick will not lock onto a multistream mux?

If anyone can check what is on 11.009 V n 28 East, what are the Multistream IDs and what is on each one?

Thanks for your help. BTW anyone know of any USB sticks that will recognise DVB-S2 Multistream?

And, are there any linux STBs that can be modified to enable DVB-S2 multistream reception - ie a Technomate TM Twin or Venton Unibox? What software would I need to add and into which folders on the STB itslef?

Thank for your help

but I've read this:

To build drivers for your TBS card

  • download the driver source from tbsdtv.com
  • extract the arhive
  • enter the tbs direcory contained in the archive
# cd tbs

  • extract the contained tar.bz
# tar jxvf linux-tbs-drivers.tar.bz2

  • fix the permissions (someone messed up the permissions in the tar)
# find linux-tbs-drivers -type d -exec chmod 755 {} ';'

  • follow the instructions in the README_TBS#### file where #### matches your card model number

I've checked the sources avaiable from TBS website and there are no chances: the drivers avaiable from the manufacturer ARE ONLY FOR X86 and X64 arch. No MIPS arch avaiable. No full source code drivers avaiable ... so IMPOSSIBLE support for MIPS platform.

I do not speak Russian but maybe someone else is successful.. hope
