thanks biscamax for your reply...

but my question was little diferent, after update boot the stb shows me this and i know it´s ok for other posts:
mtd1: 00400000 00020000 "kernel"
mtd2: 00400000 00020000 "boot"

but when i update the image after update boot it puts this:
mtd1: 00400000 00020000 "kernel"
mtd2: 00200000 00020000 "boot"

is it fine this mtd2 value when i have updated BH 1.6.6??

i hope it is the size of the new image thats change that value but i would want a confirmation of it´s ok...

regards...

Yes it's ok, I have the same values after image update.

As I said before, from this Bootloader Rev. 3.0, we have changes on flash memory map, now we have 4M to kernel and 2M to boot, I guess it's to enable 3D functions that comes on official image 6.0.
From now all images, based on official image 6.0, increases the size and need a new flash memory map.

Hi Guy's,
Completely new to all this and only just got my VU+Duo, so please forgive thi simple question:-
Once I have updated the boot loader, where do I get the BH Image from?

Regards,
John

I am confused..............there are two files detailed in the update, vuplus and duo. Do these files have to be loaded as separate items? i.e. is one the bootloader andthe other BH?

You have to download usb version anche unzip it in a usb fat32 formatted, then put in the front port, remove all other usb drivers and reboot.
In this way you flash the new img.
Remember before flash new img to upgrade bootloader.
Here is the How to

bootloader update and image install
very easy

you need to make update/install twice
bootloader first and after bootloader update image update/image install.
USB procedure is the same .

Format USB stick on your PC FAT32
and remove all attached to the VU duo USB ports.

1. Unzip the duo_cfe_3_0_usb.zip and copy to USB stick
http://archive.vuplus.com/image/2011/6.0/duo_cfe_3_0_usb.zip
2. Insert USB stick into the USB port of duo and power on the box.
3. It takes just a few secs to update.
4. If Duo displays the message "Finished..reboot", remove the USB stick and restart box.
5. Format USB stick again.
6. Unzip BH image and copy to USB stick
7. Insert USB stick into the USB port of duo and power on the box.
8.If Duo displays the message "Finished..reboot", remove the USB stick and restart box.
